We advise that roadworks will be taking place on Burke Street between Canola Street and Dransfield Drive to facilitate the construction of two wombat crossings on Burke Street as well as landscaping on the northern side of Burke Street.
Roadworks will commence 9th September 2026 and are expected to be complete within 5 weeks, subject to weather.
All construction activities will take place between the following hours:
- 7.00am to 5.00pm, Mondays to Fridays (inclusive); and
- 8.00am to 4.00pm on Saturdays.
During construction, Burke Street will be closed at Dransfield Drive and Canola Street to enable these works to be carried out safely. Access to Burke Street will still be possible via Bass Street. Traffic management will be in place throughout the duration of works to minimise disruption and manage vehicle movements.
On-street parking and access will be restricted during the construction activities.
